I don't think so- my personal "conspiracy theory" is that MS probably intended to incorporate Vista Calendar/Mail sync with WMDC in order to stop cient to sync to, involves suddenly soaking WM users into buying a $100 desktop contacts/calendar manager, particularly in a very competitive mobile device market.
